On March 31, 2026, College Benefits Group’s sixty-one-year commitment to providing outstanding voluntary employee benefits and administrative support for the faculty and staff of the University of Connecticut will be terminated.
On April 1, 2026, a new third-party administrator will be managing and implementing all voluntary Group Universal Life insurance plans and the twenty-three disability insurance plans presently offered by Metropolitan Life Insurance company and The Hartford Life Insurance company respectively. College Benefits Group is working diligently with the University of Connecticut benefits office and the new third-party administrator to make the management transition of UConn voluntary benefits as seamless as possible for our policy holders.
If you are a new employee considering participating in a voluntary Group Universal Life insurance plan or in disability insurance plans managed by College Benefits Group, we will be available to discuss these important voluntary employee benefits until March 31, 2026. Moving forward, the new third-party administration will be establishing and administering open enrollments for University of Connecticut faculty and staff.
